Effective date: October 29, 2026. Last updated: October 29, 2026.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Measure Twice. By creating an account or using the software, you agree to these terms.
1. About Measure Twice
Measure Twice is estimating and business management software for service businesses that do project based work, operated by Measure Twice Profit (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It includes tools for estimating, scheduling, crew task lists, employee time tracking, job costing, leads and customer communication.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Measure Twice. Measure Twice is meant for businesses, not personal or household use.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for all activity under your account. Contact us right away at info@measuretwiceprofit.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
You can invite team members, such as employees or co owners, to your account. You are responsible for the activity of everyone you add, and for making sure they follow these terms.
4. License
As long as you follow these terms, we give you a limited, non exclusive, non transferable license to use Measure Twice for your own business. You may not resell it, sublicense it, or offer it to others as a service.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Measure Twice for anything unlawful
- Send spam or unwanted bulk messages through the text messaging, business card or contact form features
- Try to access parts of the software or its systems you are not authorized to use
- Reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code
- Upload or send malicious code
- Pretend to be someone else or misrepresent who you are
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data without our written permission
6. Your data
You own the business, customer and employee information you put into Measure Twice. You give us permission to store, process and send that information only as needed to provide the software, as described in these terms and our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for having the right to store information about your customers, leads and employees.
7. Third party services
Measure Twice works with outside services, including Intuit QuickBooks, Twilio, Stripe and Anthropic. Your use of those services is also covered by their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability or actions of outside services, or for any fees they charge you.
When you connect QuickBooks, you allow Measure Twice to create and update estimates and invoices in your QuickBooks company. When you use text messaging, you allow Measure Twice to send and receive text messages on your behalf.
8. Employee time tracking
If you use the time clock, you are responsible for following the labor laws that apply to you, including record keeping, overtime and employee notice rules. Measure Twice gives you tools to track time, but it is not legal or payroll advice.
9. AI generated content
Measure Twice uses AI (Claude, by Anthropic) to suggest estimate and change order line items. AI estimating is included with your plan, and no separate account is needed. AI suggestions are a starting point and can contain mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing and approving every estimate before you send it to a customer or rely on it.
10. Plans, free trials and billing
Measure Twice is offered as a monthly plan and an annual plan. Both include every feature and the guided setup. Current prices are listed on our pricing page.
Free trials. The monthly plan includes a 3 day free trial, and the annual plan includes a 7 day free trial. If you cancel before your trial ends, you will not be charged. If you don’t cancel, your plan starts and you are billed automatically when the trial ends.
Automatic renewal. Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Promo codes. Promo codes are entered at checkout and may have their own terms. They have no cash value and cannot be combined unless we say so.
Annual setup call. The annual plan includes one 30 minute Zoom call to help set up your business in Measure Twice, scheduled at a time that works for both of us.
Price changes. We may change our prices. If we do, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change affects your next renewal.
11. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel anytime from your account or by contacting us.
- Monthly plan: cancel anytime before your next month starts and you won’t be charged again. You keep access through the end of the month you paid for. We do not refund partial months.
- Annual plan: cancel anytime to stop your plan from renewing. If you cancel within 30 days of your first annual payment, you get a full refund. After that, payments are not refunded, and you keep access through the end of the year you paid for.
Refunds are returned to your original payment method. Nothing in this section limits any refund rights you have under the law.
12. Intellectual property
Measure Twice, including its design, code, features and branding, belongs to Measure Twice Profit and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. These terms do not give you ownership of any of it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
MEASURE TWICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR FREE OR SECURE.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, MEASURE TWICE PROFIT AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF MEASURE TWICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT BE MORE THAN THE GREATER OF (A) WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Measure Twice Profit and its owners, employees and agents from claims, damages and costs (including reasonable attorney’s fees) that come from your use of Measure Twice, your breaking these terms, your violation of someone else’s rights (including your customers or employees), or your violation of any law.
16. Ending your use
You can stop using Measure Twice at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or if we stop offering the software. If your account is closed, you can ask us for a copy of your data and we will give you a reasonable chance to export it.
17. Changes to the software
We may change, pause or stop parts of Measure Twice. We will give reasonable notice when a change significantly affects how you use it.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new date. For important changes, we will let you know by email or inside the software at least 14 days before they take effect. Using Measure Twice after that means you accept the updated terms.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any dispute about these terms or Measure Twice will be resolved by binding arbitration through the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, held in Utah. You agree not to bring claims as part of a class action or class wide arbitration.
20. Other terms
If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and Measure Twice Profit about Measure Twice.
