Measure Twice (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is estimating and business management software for service businesses, operated by Measure Twice Profit. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the Measure Twice software and this website.
1. Information we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, business name and login details.
Billing information. When you start a plan, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, billing status and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number.
Business information you enter. Estimates, invoices, job notes, photos, material pricing, overhead costs, crew pay rates and roles, and other records you create in the software.
Customer and lead information. Names, phone numbers, email addresses and addresses for your customers, and messages from people who contact you through your digital business card or contact form.
Employee information. Names, phone numbers, pay rates, time clock records and job assignments for crew members you add.
Usage information. Technical details like IP address, browser type, pages visited and features used, collected automatically as you use the software and this website.
Website contact form. When you send a message through this website, we collect your name, email, phone number if you give it, your type of business and your message. It is sent to us by email and saved so we can reply.
2. Services we use
Measure Twice works with outside services to run. Each one has its own privacy policy.
- Supabase stores the software’s data and handles sign in.
- Stripe processes payments for plans.
- Intuit QuickBooks. If you connect QuickBooks, we send estimate and invoice information to your QuickBooks company. We store a secure connection token to keep it connected.
- Twilio. If you use text messaging, messages to your customers and crew are sent and received through Twilio.
- Anthropic (Claude). When you use AI estimating, the job descriptions you submit are sent to Anthropic to suggest line items. Only the text you submit for that feature is sent.
- Cloudflare Turnstile helps block spam on public contact forms.
- Bluehost hosts this website.
We do not sell your information. Connection keys and tokens are stored encrypted and are only used with the service they belong to.
3. How we use information
- To provide, run and improve Measure Twice
- To secure your account and verify sign ins
- To process your plan, billing and any refunds
- To send account emails, like confirmations and password resets
- To calculate time clock totals, labor costs and job costs
- To sync with QuickBooks when you ask us to
- To send text messages for you when you use that feature
- To suggest estimate line items when you use AI estimating
- To reply to messages sent through our contact form
We do not use your business or customer information to train AI models.
4. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Outside services keep information according to their own policies. Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to help you and then deleted.
5. Security
We use encrypted connections, encrypted storage for sensitive keys, and role based access so crew members only see what they need. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
6. Employee, customer and lead information
When you add employees, customers or leads to Measure Twice, you decide what information to collect and you are responsible for having the right to collect it and for letting people know. For that information, you are the controller and we process it for you.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children
Measure Twice is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new date, and let you know about important changes by email or inside the software.
